John Dickerson died Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at his residence on the corner of Market and Walnut Streets of cancer. He was born in VA in 1822 and in 1825 removed with his parents to Hendricks Co Indiana in 1858 he moved to Crawfordsville where he has since lived. He was married in 1840 to Miss Linnie Nausler and 9 children were the result of the union. Five of them are living: William, Joseph, Lewis, George and Charles. The funeral occurred Sunday at 3 o'clock conducted by Rev. G.P. Fuson and internment was at Oak Hill. - kbz

John Dickerson, one of the county’s pioneer citizens passed quietly away at his home corner of Market and Walnut streets last Friday evening of cancer. The deceased was born in Virginia in 1822 and removed to this city in 1858 where he has since resided. He was the father of nine children, five of whom are still living: Lewis, George, William, Joseph and Charles. The funeral occurred Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock conducted by Rev. GP Fuson. Interment at Oak Hill. - kbz
