NEW ROSS — Manley B. Dice, 77, New Ross, who farmed all his life, died Tuesday morning in Culver Hospital. A 1918 graduate of Crawfordsville High School, he was a veteran of both world wars. He was a member of Mace United Methodist Church and trustee for many years. He also held memberships in Masonic Lodge at Ladoga, Scottish Rite and was a charter member of Farm Bureau. Mr. Dice was one of the principals in organizing the Production Credit Association. Born Sept. 22, 1900, in Montgomery County, he was the son of Beecher and Annie Johnson Dice. He was married Oct. 5, 1919, to Ruth Harris. She died in 1972. Surviving are two sons William E. of New Ross and James B. of Monmouth, Ill.; three daughters, Julia Foxworthy and Martha Hardaway of New Ross and Mary Shreve of Cincinnati; a brother, Mark of Elgin, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Jewel DeWees officiating. Burial will be in Mace K of P Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.--waw
