Veedersburg - Funeral rites for Joseph T. Dice, Jr. 40, Rt 4, Veedersburg who was killed Wednesday evening in an auto accident just west of WIlliamsport are announced for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Fishero Funeral Home. Rev. William Ainsworth will officiate and interment will be in Bonebrake Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday. Dice apparently lost control of his car on a curve as he approached Williamsport. His auto left the road and struck an embankmet, throwing Dice from the car. He was caught underneath the auto as it overturned ... Warren County Coroner Mildred Jean investigated the crash along with state police and Warren County sheriff's officers. Members of the family said that he had been returning form a hunting outing at the time of the crash. He was born in Veedersburg on April 1, 1921, and his parents were Joseph and Bertha Rogers Dice. He was a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Union in Danville, Ill, a veteran of WWII and member of the Veedersburg American Legion Post. He is survived by his father of Veedersburg; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Myers of Attica; three daughters, Jane, Cyndia and Betty Jo of Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Hancock and Mrs. Dorothy Dice of Veedersburg and a brother William Dice of Veedersburg. - kz
