Doolin - James D - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

James D. Doolin d. at his home on S. Cross St. at 10 on Sun eve. He had been an invalid for some years. Fun. services were held at the home on Tues aft. at 2 Rev. OE Kelly of Terre Haute in charge. Interm at Maple Ridge. Mr. D. was b. in Somerset, Ky March 12, 1837 and at the time of his death was aged 70 years, one month and 21 days. He was marr. to Miss Mary Light in 1863. Three ch. were b.: John; Roscoe and Minnie, now Mrs. JR Scircle. She is the only one living. Jan 7, 1885 he marr. Mrs. Eliza J. Pickard who survives him. He served in the union army almost the entire Civil War, belonging to the 2nd Ky Calvary. Mr. D was a man of marked character and esteem of all who knew him. - kbz
