MINNIE ARMSTRONG DICE

Mrs. Minnie Dice, aged 36 wife of William Dice, of Crawfordsville died this morning at half past three at the home of her parents, James and Lottie Armstrong, of one and a quarter miles south of Linndsburg of tuberculosis.  Mrs. Dice has been affli cted with the disease which resulted in her death this morning for ten years, but her condition was not alarming or serious until within the past two weeks.  For the past few days her death has been expected.  When her condition became alarming about two weeks ago she went to the home of her parents.  Mrs. Dice was an estimable Christian woman, a member of the Trinity Methodist Church of Crawfordsville. She was widely known as an accomplished musician and soloist.  Her services were much sought to sing at funerals because of her sweet voice.  For the past six years she has resided in Crawfordsville with her family on West Pike Street.  She is survived by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Helen, aged seven, one brother, Henry Armstrong of Linnsburg. One daughter, Lucile died ten years ago.  Funeral services will be held at the Newlight Christian Church at Linnsburg on Saturday afternoon at 2 and will be conducted by Rev. C.B. Stanfo rth, pastor of Trinity Church, Crawfordsville.  Members of Mrs. Dice's Sunday School class of that church will sing some of the favorite hymns of the deceased when she was alive.  Interment will be in K of P cemetery, Mace. -- typed by kbz

Mrs. Minnie DICE, 815 W. Pike died at the home of her father James ARMSTRONG in Linnsburg yesterday morning at 3:30.  Mrs. Dice has been a sufferer with tuberculosis for many years and several years and several times her condition has been critical but she had always rallied until the last fatal crisis.   Mrs. Dice was the wife of William Dice and has been a resident of this city about 5 years.  She was well known all over Crawfordsville as a church singer. Since coming to this city she has been a member of the Trinity ME Church and Rev. Stanforth will have charge of the funeral services which will be held at Linnsburg Sat morning at 2.  The deceased was 37 and was born and raised in the vicinity of Linnsburg where she lived up to the time she came to this city. She is survived by her husband and one child Helen who is 6.  Her father and mother Mr. and Mrs. James Armstrong and one brother Henry are also left to mourn her death. - typed by kbz

The friends and neighbors of Mrs. Will Dice were shocked and pained to learn of her death. As she will be greatly missed here and in Crawfordsville where she lived. She spent most of her younger days in and around here. She was of a cheerful and loving disposition and made friends wherever she went.- typed by kbz
