Susan M. Dewey, aged 67, wife of George W. Dewey, residing north of Crawfordsville passed away at her home Sunday morning at 4 o'clock following an extended illness from heart trouble and dropsy. For more than a year she had been in failing health. The deceased was born April 25, 1854, the daughter of ___ and __tena Alexander. For ______ she had resided in _ neighborhood and was ___ as a woman of fine Christian charachter. 50 years ago, Oct 4, she was united in marriage to Dr. George W. Dewey, who survives her, together with a daughter, Mrs. WC Breaks, of Crawfordsville. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Cyrus C. Thompson and three brothers, Bayless Grant and James Alexander all of New Richmond (note only two brothers listed unless it should read Bayless, Grant but it does not). The funeral will be held from the home on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Dunlavy of Lafayette. Interment at New Richmond. - kz
