Wingate, July 5, 1938 - Charles T. B. DeVore, 59, well known in this vicinity, died yesterday in an Indianapolis hospital. The body was brought to the King funeral home here and later taken to the home of a brother-in-law, J. W. McCorkle, where services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.; Rev. J. C. Whitson officiating. Burial in Wheeler Grove Cemetery. Mr. De Voore was born near Odell, May 12, 1879 and on March 22, 1905 married Effie Burdon. They lived on a farm near Odell and in 1919 moved to a farm near Dayton. He had been ill for several years. Mr. DeVore was a member of the Shawnee Mound M. E. church and the Masonic lodge at Odell. Besides his widow he leaves two sister, Mrs. Alta Evans, Wingate and Miss Oka De Vore, Attica. - typed by kbz
