Fred P. Devitt, 75, of 408 John St died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital. He was a 40-year employee of RR Donnnelley & Sons Co. Mr. Devitt was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, American Legion Byron Cox Post 72 and Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of CHS and attended Wabash College on a baseball scholarship. He was born Sept 25, 1905 in Crawfordsville, the son of William and Minnie Cunningham Devitt. He was married to Ramona Simmons April 27, 1946 in Crawfordsville and she survives. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bernard Catholic Church with Rev. David Clifford officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Hunt & Son funeral home after 2 p.m. today. Rosary services will be 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. American Legion services will be at the gravesite. - kbz
