Charles B. "Hoag" Devitt, sr, 77, senior past worthy president of the Crawfordsville aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, died at 11:20 a.m. Monday in Culver Hospital where he had been a patient since Friday. Mr. Devitt who was retired resided at 1701 Eastwood Drive. Born Oct 14, 1892, in Crawfordsville, Mr. Devitt was the son of Thomas and Lenora Devitt. He was married July 2, 1916 to Blanche Holland, who survives. Mr. Devitt was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to the widow are three sons, Charles Jr. of Highland, Indiana; and Max and Maurice of Crawfordsville; one brother, John of Marion, Ind and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard's with Msgr. Henry F. Ward officiating and burial in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Hunt & Son Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today. The Rosary will be prayed there at 8 p.m. - kbz
