Services for Carole C. Hedrick Devitt, 57, Crawfordsville a former principal clerk of the Indiana House of Representatives, will be at 11 a.m. Nov 7 in St. Bernard Cathollic Church, Crawfordsville of which she was a member. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Crawfordsville. She died Nov 3. A Democrat, Mrs. Devitt was elected principal clerk of the House in 1993 by the House Democratic caucus. She was a former vice chairwoman of the Montgomery County Democratic Party a member of the Montgomery County Democrat Club and a precinct committeewoman. She had been a secretary for the RR DOnnelley & Sons Co and the church. Mrs. Devitt also had worked for former Crawfordsville Mayor Glen J. Knecht. Survivors include her husband, Bob Devitt; children: Staff Sgt John; Mike and Bill Devitt; brothers, Eddie R, Framk and John H. Hedrick; sisters, Barbara Burris; Lois Rash; Kay Richardson; Pat Crowley; Dotty Sheehan and Mickey Thompson and two grandchildren. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown is handling arrangements - kbz
