Mrs. Elizabeth DePlanty [of] Rockville age 58 passed away at 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning Aug 5 at Layman Nursing Home, Montezuma. Mrs. DePlanty was born in Parke County, Sept 11, 1870 the daughter of James C. and Eleanor Denman Miller. Her husband, Ed preceded her in death several years ago. She was a member of the New Discovery Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Fred of Marshall and Earl and Claude of Rockville; 3 daughters, Miss Fanny DePlanty and Mrs. Mary Green of Rockville RR 1 and Mrs. Lula Hoffman of Allen Park, Mich; a brother, Will Miller of Rockville; four sisters, Mrs. Katie Fisher of Attica; Mrs. Mollie Overpeck of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Laura Reeder of near Rockville and Mrs. Ethel Kise of Riverside, California; 32 grandchildren and six greats. The body was taken to the Branson Funeral Home where funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. VE Squibb officiated and burial was in Rockville Cemetery. - kbz
