Mrs. J. Ray Denney of Portland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hallam of this city died Sunday afternoon at four fifteen after an illness dating back to March. Had she lived until the following day she would have been 30- years old. She was married 9 years ago and is survived by her husband and one child, James, five years old. Besides her husband and son she leaves her father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. Edgar A. Hill of this city and Mrs. W. Lynch of Ft. Wayne and one brother, Frank Hallam of this city. Mrs. Denney was formerly Miss Neva Hallam of this city and is well known where she attended the local high school. Funeral services will be held Wednesday from the home in Portland with burial in the Portland Cemetery. - kbz
