Burrill Howard Denhart, 60, Rt. 1, Linden, former Madison Township trustee, died Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He had been a patient there since Nov. 24. Mr. Denhart had been a farmer in the Linden area since 1944. He was a director of 4-H, Inc., the organization in charge of 4-H buildings and operations at the local fairgrounds. He was a member and director of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau. He was also a member of the Linden-Kirkpatrick United Methodist Church, Linden Masonic Lodge, OES, Scottish Rite at Indianapolis and Crawfordsville Elks. Born Feb. 10, 1972, (sic - I would guess 1912 since age 60 ) in Champaign County, Ill., he was a son of Clarence E. and Luella Bridgewater Denhart. He married Marcella Frantz July 12, 1938, at Plainfield. She survives. Other survivors include his father of Crawfordsville; six sons, Ronald of Lafayette, Richard Lee of Delphi, Paul Dean of Plymouth, Stephen Allen of Brownsburg, Gary Ray, a student at Indiana State University, and Randal Howard, a pupil at North Montgomery High School; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Craig of Grosspoint, Mich., and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Burkhart Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with Rev. Broten Martin officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Masonic services will be conducted by the Linden Lodge at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.--waw
