Roy Demoret, 79, retired school teacher and WWI veteran died at his home in Lafayette at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Demoret had attended Wabash College in Crawfordsville and was a teacher in Montgomery County and in Lafayette before retirement. Born Oct 17, 1886 in Waverly, Kan he was the son of James and Clara Demoret. He married the former Edith Grenard. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Lucy Jane of Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Otis E. Hall of Massachusettes and Mrs. Byron Busenbark of New Market; five grandchidren and several nieces and nephews. - kbz
