Demoret - Mary Thomas

Mrs. Mary Evelyn Demoret, 57, wife of George E. Demoret, died suddenly Tuesday night at her home on the Country Club Branch Road. Born March 1, 1903, in Montgomery County, Mrs. Demoret was the daughter of Frank Thomas and Alice Biggs Thomas. She married Mr. Demoret Dec. 26, 1919. Mrs. Demoret was a member of the Mt. Zion EUB Church. Survivors include the husband; two sons, Tommy Demoret, in service at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Danny Demoret of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Eakle of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Robert Day of New Ross; two sisters, Mrs. Howard Peace and Mrs. Jesse Collins, both of Crawfordsville, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the McCloud Funeral Home, with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Rev. John R. Servies will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Thursday. – jlr
