Demoret - Bartholomew

Bartholomew Demoret was born Oct 15, 1832 in Butler Co Ohio. In 1848 he moved with his parents to Montgomery Co Ind. In 1865 he was married to Mary Ann Whiteneck. They were the parents of 4 children. A few years later he lost his wife and was married again in 1867 to Phoebe Eliza Close. 9 children were born to them, all of whom are now living. In the year 1883 he moved with his family to Franklin County, Kansas. He departed this life after some years of sickness from a complicated disease, July 4, 1906 at the age of 74 years 8 months and 19 days. The funeral was held in the ME Church Thursday July 5, the services being conducted by Rev. GG Wilson, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church before a large concourse of friends and relatives of the deceased. Interment was in the Richmond cemetery. - kz
