Frank H. Demaree, 92, retired Purdue University employee, died at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday in Wesley Manor Health Care Center, at Frankfort. He had been in ill health two years. Born at Waveland, he lived in West Lafayette for 40 years and resided at 109 Navajo St. before moving to Wesley Manor four and one-half years ago. He was a 1908 graduate of Purdue University School of Agriculture and received his M.S. degree from University of Missouri. Mr. Demaree was employed in Purdue University Agriculture Extension Department and had operated Demaree Farm Management Service at West Lafayette. In 1909 he was married at Terre Haute to Edith Rhoads, who died in 1975. Mr. Demaree was an elder and deacon of Central Presbyterian Church. He was a charter member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, a member of ATO Fraternity and Rotary Club of Lafayette and Frankfort. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Frances) Miller of New Richmond; and two sons, Richard Demaree of Merrillville and Philip Demaree of San Francisco. – jlr
