MECCA – Mrs. Sylvia M. Delp, 74, of Mecca, died at 3:25 a.m. Thursday in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. She was a member of the Mecca Welseyan Chapel. Born Oct. 25, 1900, in Parke County, she was a daughter of Walter and Olive Torr McCarty. She married Ora Delp who died in 1965. Surviving are two brothers, George and Claude McCarty of Mecca; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Spurgeon of Indianapolis; a niece; and several nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Barnes Mortuary at Rockville with the Rev. Dale Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery at Rockville.
