Joan Delp, 61, RR 1, Marshall, died at 11:07 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 1988 at St. Vincent's hospital, Indianapolis. Born July 23, 1927, at Judson she was the daughter of Roy and Catherine Ferrell Purcell. On December 22, 1945 at Rockville she married Bobby E. Delp who survives. A 1945 graduate of Marshall HS she worked at the Children's Learning Center in Rockville from 1968 to 1974 and was a member of Wallace Order of Eastern Star Chapter 415, Wolf Creek Ladies Aid, Judson Baptist Church and attended Wolf Creek and Friends Union Church.
Other survivors include a son, Rodney Delp of RR 1, Marshall, a daughter, Janet Updike of Plainfield; two sisters, Marie Vaught of RR 1, Marshall and Lillian Cornett of Rockvil;;e two grandchildren; preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Services were conducted Sunday at Wolf Creek Church with Rev. Bill FLannigan officiating. Burial was in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Thomas Funeral Home of Waynetown was in charge of arrangements. -- typed by kbz
