After an illness of ten months duration, Mrs. Dorothy R. Delp of Veedersburg, 43, died at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville Tuesday morning about 4 o’clock. She had been a medical patient in the hospital for the past five weeks suffering from complications. She was born in Hillsboro on April 24, 1907 the daughter of Daniel and Lola Clements Snyder. On May 9, 1923 she was married to Arbie Delp and all of their married life had been spent in Hillsboro and Veedersburg with the exception of three years when they resided in Crawfordsville. She was employed as a telephone operator in Hillsboro for a number of ears. She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church and the Royal Neighbors. Survivors are the husband, the father Daniel Snyder of Hillsboro and three sisters, Mrs. Harold Donovan of Hillsboro; Mrs. Donald Janeway of Muncie; Mrs. Hershel Keeling of near Veedersburg and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was removed from the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro Wednesday morning to the late home in Veedersburg until the funeral service which was held at the Hillsboro Christian Church at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Arthur Howell of Pittsboro former Hillsboro minister conducted the service and burial was in the Masonic cemetery at Waynetown. – kbz
