Final services for Mrs. Jessie Frances DeLong, who died Thursday at Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bright Funeral Home at Darlington. Burial will be in Darlington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Note: Jessie was a Booher and wife of Merle DeLong

Darlington – Mrs. Jessie (Booher) DeLong, 67 of Lebanon a native of Darlington died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville where she had been a patient since Dec 8. She was graduated from Darlington HS and was married to Merle DeLong who died last August. After their marriage, the couple resided at Delphi, Franklin and Lebanon where they owned and operated the DeLong Pastry shop.  Mrs. DeLong resided at Lebanon for the past year but for six years previous to her Lebanon residence she lived at Darlington where she cared for her mother, Mrs. Laura Booher now of Anderson.  Mrs. DeLong was a member of the Methodist Church and Lebanon Order of Eastern Star.  Surviving with the mother are a son, Richard L. DeLong of Chicago; two brothers, Lynn Booher of Ft. Wayne and Terry Booher of Columbus and a sister Mrs. Beryl Jenkins of Anderson.  Mrs. DeLong’s uncle, Harry Broadlick of Kokomo died Thursday at Kokomo at approximately the same time Mrs. DeLong’s death at Crawfordsville. - kbz
