Ladoga -- Mrs. Marie Dellinger, a beautician here since 1939, died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital at Lafayette where she had been a patient since last July 17. She was 44. Mrs. Dellinger was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church and Montgomery County chapter of the Indiana and National Hairdressers Guild. Born April 20, 1918, in Somerset, Ky., she was a daughter of Robert and Helen Newby Poynter. On Dec. 13, 1943 she married Robert Dellinger. They were married at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. John Servies, west of Crawfordsville. A 1937 graduate of Ladoga High School, she attended the House of James Beauty College at Indianapolis and opened a beauty shop here after her graduation in 1939. Survivors include her husband; two sons, John Robert and David Lee, both at home; a brother, Donald Poynter of Crawfordsville; and a step mother, Bertha Poynter of Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ladoga Christian Church. Rev. James Landrum, pastor of the church, will be in charge and will be assisted by Rev. H. C. Stolldorf, pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at Lafayette. Burial will be in the Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home here after 10 a.m. Monday.
