William Alexander Deitrick, for years a resident of Waveland died at Sister's home here. William Deitrick, aged 76, died a few minutes before five Wednesday afternoon at the home of his sister Mrs. Mollie Hutton, South Walnut St. Death followed a short illness with dropsey. Mr. Deitrick was one of the best known men in the County, having for years lived in Waveland. He was born in Virginia in 1837. Three sons, Frank of Kansas City, Kansas, William of Templeton, Indiana, Ed of Indianapolis, and a daughter Mrs. Nina Watson of Crawfordsville survive their father. Mrs. Deitrick has been dead for several years. He was for many years a gravel road contractor, having constructed many miles of road in Park, Putman and Montgomery Counties. Funeral services will be held from Mrs. Hutton's home at two Friday afternoon. Burial in Young's Chapel Cemetery. Died Aug., 20, 1913. Note: William Deitrick was born 1 Oct 1837. He married 1st: Arminta Ann Goben 17 Apr 1862, Montgomery Co., IN, and 2nd: Mrs. Martha Goben Shumaker, 8 Dec 1873, probably also Montgomery Co. Martha was a sister to Arminta and they were daughters of Jesse. Arminta Plunkett Goben.
