WAVELAND - Mrs. Minnie Deer, 91, a resident west of Waveland most of her life, died Wednesday afternoon in Carmen Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health since December. Born in Parke County on Oct. 13, 1877, she was a daughter of Richard and Otella Priebe McCullough. She married Nelson Deer on March 15, 1897 in Montgomery County. Mrs. Deer was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are nieces and nephews; Milton Davis of Bloomingdale, Milford Davies of Rockville, Manfred Davies of Judson, Mack Davies of Lebanon, Everett Deere of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Mae Boyd of Rockville, Mrs. Marjorie Berry of Marshall and Mrs. Mayme Canbron of Canton, Mass. Funeral rites are at 2 p.m. Friday at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home, where friends may call after 6 p.m. today. Rev. Allen Roberts will be the minister, and burial will be in Old Union Cemetery. - jlr
