Funeral services for Ira E. Deere, age forty- eight, who died Tuesday at his home southeast of Indianapolis, were held Thursday. The rites were under the direction of the Masonic order. Burial was in Washington Park Cemetery. Mr. Deere was born in Waveland, the son of Mr. And Mrs. William E. Deere. For a time he was engaged in the live stock business at the Indianapolis stock-yard, but later was buyer for the Indianapolis Abattoir Co., He was a member of the River Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving are the widow; two sons, Kenneth and Richard Deere; three daughters, Miss Irma Deere, Miss Dorothy Deere, Mrs. Gladys Vollrath; the mother Mrs. Abbie Deere, and four sisters, Mrs. Edith Billman, Mrs. Bessie Mortimer and Mrs. Hazel Bracket, all of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Elsie Kell, Shelbyville. – Indianapolis News. kbz
