Harry Deere, the eldest son of WE Deer (sic) and wife, died at his home at Indianapolis last Tuesday of consumption from which he had been a sufferer for several months. He was almost 20 years of age. The body was brought here on Wednesday and funeral services were held at Freedom Church, conducted by Rev WT Cuppy. - kbz

Harry Deere, aged 18 years, died last Tuesday at 3 o’clock, of consumption, at the home of his father, William Deere, of Indianapolis. The body was brought here Tuesday evening and taken to the home of Wm Whittington, 710 South Washington Street. The funeral took place on Wednesday at Freedom Church. Interment was at Freedom Cemetery.
Harry Deere was raised in this county and lived for several years in Crawfordsville, where he had many warm friends. -s
