ANNA WHITTINGTON DEERE

Mrs. Anna DEERE died at her home east of Freedom Church on Friday morning. Funeral service was held at Freedom Church Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. HH Elmore. The casket was carried by Leslie Whittington; Roy Mitchell; Orvill Servies; Sam Priebe; Frank Patton and Rufus Patton. Isaac, Leo and David Wiatt and Mrs Will Wiatt sang with Miss Wanetah Wiatt at the piano. Mrs. Deere was the daughter of William H. and Mary E. Whittington and was born near where she died March 13, 1871. She married Albert Deere March 24, 1891 who died in May 1931. She is survived by two sons, Cecil of Indianapolis and Joe at home; and by two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Mitchell of Byron and Mrs. Stella Walker of Indianapolis. - kbz
