Mrs. Mary Ethel DECKER, wife of Bertrum Decker of near Browns Valley died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in the Liter Nursing Home, Crawfordsville after an illness since August 1955, Mrs. Decker who was 65 had a brain tumor. She was a native of Owen County, born Jan 19, 1891 to John W. and Eva Berry Allen and married Mr. Decker Dec 24, 1914. Surviving besides the husband are the father of Renssalaer, a sister, Mrs. Norra Barker, of Wanapah, Ind; a brother, Clarence Allen of Indianapolis; a niece and nephew. Funeral services were held at 2 Thursday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home, New Market, Rev BA Friend officiating with burial in Freedom Cemetery. - kbz
