Browns Valley - Bert Decker, 88, who had been a farmer in the Browns Valley are a number of years, died Thursday night in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after an extended illness. He was a member of the Browns Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Decker was born September 5, 1886 at Warsaw, a son of William R. and Erminda Rollins Decker. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Hurst and Mrs. Eva Patton both of Bloomington and Mrs. Tina Burkett of Culver. His wife, Ethel and 7 brothers and sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Browns Valley Baptist Church. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call at McGaughey & Sons Funeral Home at Russellville after 2 p.m. Saturday. - kbz
