Kathleen DeBruicker 55 of Sarasota, Fla died Monday at 4 p.m. at Sarasota. She was a registered nurse who served in WWII as an Army Nurse in the South Pacific. Mrs. DeBruicker was a member of the Sarasota South Bay American Legion Post, Sarasota Board of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and served as a volunteer Red Cross School Nurse. She was a member of the Waynetown United Methodist Church. She was born Nov 15, 1920 and graduated from Waynetown HS in 1938. She also graduated from the Lakeview Hospital School of Nursing in Danville, Ill in 1943. She was the daughter of Fred and Vonia Ellis Hudson and married Vincent DeBruicker on April 13, 1945 at Audobon, Ind. Surviving are her husband; mother of Sarasota; two sons, David and Darryl, both of Sarasota; one brother, Gerald Hudson of Lafayette; four uncles, BD Hudson, Crawfordsville, Moreland of Darlington and Guy and Roscoe, both of Alamo and an aunt, Mrs. Ruby Pearson of Crawfordsville. Mrs. DeBruicker was preceded in death by her father in October 1974.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown. The Rev. Ernest Hayden will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. - kbz
