Waynetown - Howard DeBaun, 66 was pronounced dead on arrival at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday at Culver Hospital. His wife, Mildred survives. A Waynetown resident, he was owner and operator of Howard's Body Shop at Waynetown. He retired in 1979. Prior to that he was employed at Horner's Body Shop until 1960.  He served in WWII Army Air Corp in the Pacific. He served in the Army AF Reserve later.  He was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church; member and past master of the Waynetown masonic Lodge 302; member of Parke County Low 12 Club; Waynetown Merchants Association and Waynetown American Legion Post 445.  He graduated from Tangier High in 1934. He was born Oct 23, 1915 at Tangier to Almon and Maggie Millikan DeBaun. He was married to Mildred Sommers of Tangier on Jan 19, 1942 at Victoria, Texas where he was in service. Survivors include a son Gary of Waynetown; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Janice) Hudson of New Market; six grandchildren; one brother, Ray DeBaun of Hillsdale; and two sisters, Mrs. Reatha Smith of Terre Haute and Mrs. Naomi Harrington of Bloomington. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion. - kbz
