Waynetown - Frank Deaton, 57, of Coal Creek Mobile Home Estates died at 4:45 a.m. today in Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. Deaton was employed at RR Donnelley & Sons for 27 years, retiring on May 12, 1980 due to ill health. He was a veteran of WWII and served with the US Navy in the European Theater. He attended Waynetown High School.

Born Sept 14, 1924 he was a son of Flem and Mary Elizabeth Roberts Deaton. He was reared after the age of thre in the home of Thomas and Cecile Conarroe. He was first married to Agnes Lester.  He was later married to Dorlis Harlan of Edington, Ky on Oct 7, 1963.  SHe survives. Also surviving is the mother of Battyville, Ky; the foster parents of New Market; two sons, Bernard in the armed services in Germany and Gerald, at home; a stepson, Stewart England of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Donna) Campbell of New Richmond and Vanessa at home;  a stepdaughter, Mrs. Shirley SImmonds of Westville, Ill; three brothers, Levi of Battyville, Ky; James of Virginia and Robert of California; a sister, Mrs. Marie Dickey of Steeleville, Mo; and 11 grandchildren. The father and a brother are deceased.  Arrangements are incomplete at Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown. - kbz
