Waynetown - Betty J. Deaton, 64, of Rt 1, Waynetown died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Culver Hospital Emergency Room at Crawfordsville. Mrs. Deaton was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Richmond High School. She was born Oct 23, 1928 at Richmond. She married Bernard Deaton in April 1977. He survives. Also surviving is her mother, Fern Hartman of Richmond; a stepson, William Deaton of Darlington; a stepdaughter, Kelley Kashon of Crawfordsville; and a step grandson. She was preceded in death by her father. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday in Cramer-Shoemaker Funeral Home at Waynetown with Pastor David Rockhill officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday. - kbz
