The Rev. Grover C. DeNeal, 81, a former Danville resident, who most recently resided in Waveland, Ind., died Monday in Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville, Ind. He had been seriously ill one day. The Rev. Mr. DeNeal was born April 29, 1889, in Bismarck, the son of David and Laura Adams DeNeal. He married Elta Lane, Sept. 17, 1911, in Illinois. He was a member of the Brown's Valley Christian Church and the minister of Wallace Christian and Montgomery Chapel Churches in Owen County. The Rev. Mr. DeNeal attended Brown Business College in Danville and was a graduate of Bismarck High. He studied with Johnson Bible College and was a pastorate in Eastern Illinois and Indiana 25 years. Survivors include his widow, Elta; two sons, Haldon of Danville and Ray of Camarillo, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Kentner of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Mrs. Edith Ingram of Bismarck; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Thursday at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland, Ind., with the Rev. Douglas Dicky officiating. Burial will be in Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck. Friends may call after 2 p.m. EST Wednesday at the funeral home.--waw
