Robert Lee Delano, 22, a former resident of the Barnard community died at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Delano of New Market after a heart attack Monday morning. Mr. Delano was a brother of Mrs. David Barker of this place and was well known in this vicinity. Mr. Delano was born near Advance March 10, 1918 and soon after his parents moved to the Barnard neighborhood. He attended school at Barnard and Roachdale high school. Besides the parents and sister other survivors are four sisters and six brothers. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the New Market Baptist church.
