DECKER JOHN D., age 86, of 903 Greenfield Ave SW, passed away Friday evening in the residence. He was in failing health for the past three years. A lifetime resident of Stark County. He retired four years ago as owner and manager of John D. Decker Lawn Maintenance Co. Member of First EUB Church. Survivors include wife, Bertha E. Decker; three daughters, Mrs. John (Kathryn) Bookmyer of Applecreek, Mrs. J. H. (Mabel) Van Horn of Canton and Mrs. William (Ethel) Shaffer of Cincinnati, Ohio; four sons, Wilbur D. of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Loren J. and Robert R., both of Canton and James R. Decker of Wadsworth, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services Monday 1:30 p.m. in the Spiker Funeral Home with Rev. A, L, Brandyberry officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
