Funeral services for Daniel Spencer DEAVERS, 83 a retired cement contractor who died at his home, 915 North Adams St, Peoria, Ill, Friday at 11:50 a.m. were held Sat. at the Gauss Mortuary. Rev A. Runtz, pastor of the State Park Baptist Church were conducted Sunday afternoon in Greenview Cemetery at Fairmount, Ill, former home of the family. Mr. Deavers was born July 27, 1858 on a farm near Mt. Pulaski, ill to Aaron and Mary Lucas Deavers. He was married 3 times in 1881 to Miss Linnie Bales who died in 1888; to Lydia Jane Weaver in 1889 who died in 1909 and 1910 to Mrs. Ella Mae McDowal who died in 1931. Surviving are six daughters; Mrs. John Lakey, Menlo Park, California; Mrs. Mabel DeVall, Ponca City, Ok; Mrs. Esther Cowan of Waveland; Mrs. Mildred E. Markle, RR 1, Peoria and Mrs. Frances D. Seberger, RR 2, Gary, Ind; four sons; Daniel A. Deavers, Peoria; John I, RR 2, Peoria; Bryan P. Deavers, El Vista, Peoria, and Roland B. Deavers, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; 19 grandchildren and 16 greats.
