Waynetown, Nov 2 - Mrs. Vera Dazey, 54, wife of Barnum Dazey died at her home in Waynetown Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Death was due to a stroke of paralysis and followed an illness of several months. Mrs. Dazey was well known throughout the Waynetown and Elmdale communities in which she had spent her entire life. She was a member of the Elmdale Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid society of the church and the Waynetown Flower Lovers Club. Born Jan 31, 1891, near Elmdale, she was the daughter of James and Mattie Stout Quick. The survivors include the husband, prominent Waynetown auctioneer; two sons, Paul Dazey, serving in the US Navy and Rex Dazey at home; a daughter, Mrs. Mercell Cord of Waynetown; a granddaughter, Madonna Cord, her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. James Quick, a brother, J. Lawrence Quick of Richmond, Va; and three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Kennedy of Elmdale; Mrs. Wayne Gentry of Waynetown; and Mrs. Clay Stonebraker of Attica. Funeral serivces will be held at the Waynetown Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. - kbz
