Waynetown - Paul Dazey, 74, Rt 1, died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday in the Veterans Hospital at Marion.  He was a superintendent of the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery from 1945-65 and had been a high school basketball referee.  He was a member of the Waynetown United Methodist Church, a 50-year member and former trustee of the Waynetown Masonic Lodge 302 a member of the Waynetown American Legion 445 and Waynetown Merchant's Association.  He was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII and was graduated from Waynetown HS in 1930.

Mr. Dazey was born at Elmdale on Jan 10, 19121 a son of Barnum and Vera Quick Dazey.  He was married Dec 28, 1967 to Pauline Simpson who survives.  Other survivors are a brother, Rex of Richmond, A and a niece, Mrs. Harold (Madonna) Mathison of Malibu, Calif.  A sister, Mildred Cord is deceased.  

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Alan Rumble officiating. Interment will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday. - kbz
