Robert Leon Dazey, 70, Wingate, died 8:45 a.m. Monday in County Care Nursing Home, Williamsport. He had been ill for the past 10 months. Mr. Dazey had been a truck driver and owned Dazey Trucking Company, Wingate.

His memberships included Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ, Wingate; Elks Lodge, Crawfordsville; and Moose Lodge, Attica. He was a 1949 Wingate HS graduate.

He was born April 13, 1930 at Wingate to Charles and Verna Rogers Dazey. He married Mary Jo Jennings Dec 24, 1949 at Wingate. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Daniel, Brookston; a daughter, Diane Suitors, Hillsboro; a brother, Virgil, Wingate; a sister, Patricia Bane, Wingate; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Three sisters are deceased.

Funeral services are scheduled 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 S Indiana 25, Waynetown with Revs. Gordon Nichols and Junior Haas officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 pm. today in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 401 S Earl Ave, Suite 2C, Lafayette, In 47904.
