Crawfordsville: The suicide of William Davis, reported Wednesday is one of the saddest which has occurred in this county for some time. His family connections were the very best, being a nephew of Warren Davis, John L. Davis and William H. Dunham, three of the wealthiest farmers of the county. He was to have been married next Sunday to a Miss Todd, and is said to have been disappointed over the prospect of supporting her comfortably after they were married. Miss Todd is frantic with grief, and yesterday at the funeral attempted to leap into the grave into which her intended husband had just been lowered.
