Funeral Service Tuesday Afternoon at Home Mrs. Margaret Davis, 88 years of age, one of the oldest residents of the city, died at her home, 611 east Jefferson street, Sunday morning at 7:15 o'clock of the infirmities of age. She had been in a serious condition since November 13. The deceased was born December 8, 1835, near Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Hannah Smith. She was married to Warren Davis, Jr., January 24, 1855, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Baptist church and throughout her life , was a staunch supporter of her church. She is survived by seven children, Mrs. Hannah Alsuton of Veedersburg, Mrs. Mary Crist of this city, Mrs. Bettie Rogers of near Browns Valley, Mrs. Laura Memarette of south of the city, W.A. Davis of this city. She is also survived by thirty-seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at her home, 611 east Jefferson street, in charge of Rev. Bray and Rev. Heltmeyer. Interment will be at Oak Hill.
