JAMESTOWN – Mrs. Mae C. Davis, 77, formerly of Crawfordsville, died at 3 p.m. Thursday in Majors Hospital at Shelbyville. Born July 23, 1891 in Jamestown, she was a daughter of Stephen and Willmatta Van Arsdale Cline. She married Asa Davis on March 9, 1911 at Brownsburg. Mrs. Davis was a member of Zionsville Christian Church, Jamestown Eastern Star, CC Club and Friday Dinner Club. She resided in Crawfordsville for many years before moving to Jamestown. Recently Mrs. Davis had been living with a daughter in Zionsville. Mr. Davis died in January 1968. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Avalyn Jones of Shelbyville and Mrs. Margaret Ann Frayman of Zionsville; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Jamestown Christian Church with Rev. Robert Anderson of Zionsville officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call at Walker Funeral Home from 7 p.m. until 9 Friday and 2 p.m. until 5 and 7 p.m. until 9 Saturday. – jlr
