Fred Davis, a 12 year old lad was drowned in what is known as Rock Dam, just below the Sperry wagon bridge on Tuesday morning about 10 o'clock. He in company with his little brother and a number of other small boys, were in bathing when he got in over his depth and drowned before assistance could be brought. After several hours were spent in fruitless seining and grappling, a diver rescued the body. The coroner held an inquest which results in the above facts -- thanks to Jerry Turner for this one.
