Frank W. Davis, County recorder, and well known here, died at his home in New Ross, Tuesday night. His death was unexpected, although he had had two paralytic strokes within 18 months. Mr. Davis had a wide acquaintance in this section as before he had been a piano tuner and music salesman. He is survived by his wife, who has been in an insane asylum for many years, and by one daughter, Marian. Mr. Davis was well liked by a large circle of friends who will miss his hearty greeting. The daughter is deputy in the office and will probably be appointed to fill out her father's term. - kbz
