New Richmond - Robert J. Davidson, 83, died Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Linden Nursing HOme after an illness of two years. Born Nov. 1. 1874 in Ontario, Canada, he was the son of Robert and Martha Mills Davidson. He was married first to Lillie Franklin who died in 1919 and to Essie Armfield, who died in1944. He came to Indiana in 1892 and was a farmer in the Elmdale community for 25 years and owned and operated a grocery store there for two years. Mr. Davidson had lived in New Richmond for the past 12 years with a sister, Mrs. Otto Jones. He was a member of the New Richmond Methodist Church. Surviving is a foster daughter, Mrs. Guy Shubert of Waynetown; two sisters, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Carolyn Fouts of Indianapolis; two foster grandsons' and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church here with Rev. H. Earl Moore of Lafayette and Rev. Donald Wade of New Richmond officiating. Burial will be in the New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at Mrs. Jones' residence here. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the services. The Russell E. Brown Funeral Home in Linden is in charge of the services.

New Richmond - Funeral services for Robert J. Davidson, who died Saturday at the Linden Nursing Home, were held at the Methodist Church here Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Earl Moore of Lafyette and Rev. Donald Wade of New Richmond officiating. Burial was in the New Richmond Cemetery. The Russell E. Brown Funeral Home in Linden was in charge of the services. Guy Shubert, Claude Martin, Claude Hillenberg, Melvin Davidson, Wesley Davis and Walter Tribbett were the pallbearers. The also assisted with the flowers. Mrs. May Pierce was the organist.
