LINDEN – Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Davidson, 88, lifelong resident of Montgomery County, died at 8:25 p.m. Friday at the Bowles Nursing Home in Clarks Hill. She had been ill for one and one-half years and had been a patient in the nursing home for two weeks. Born Dec. 30, 1877, in Montgomery County, the deceased was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Bowen Meek. She was married March 14, 1900 to William T. Davidson, who died in 1943. Mrs. Davidson was a member of the New Richmond Methodist Church. She attended the former Bowers school. Surviving are one son, Melvin Davidson of Linden; four daughters, Mrs. Claude Hillenburg of New Richmond, Mrs. Walter Tribbett of Darlington, Mrs. Mildred Patton of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Claude Martin of Rt. 6, Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. One daughter died in infancy. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Helms Funeral Chapel in Linden in charge of Rev Willis Syphers. Burial will be in the New Richmond Cemetery.
