James Benjamin Davidson, 58, died at 11:50 a.m. Sunday at his home, 702 Jennison St, after an illness of several months. He was a son of Francis and Lorra Lawson Davidson and was born May 11, 1905 in San Francisco. He married May 6, 1950 Eileen Sturm Hultz. Surviving besides the wife are a son Jamie of Decatur, Ill; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Barker of Oreana, Ill; the mother of Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Irene Petzel of Peoria, Ill; a stepson, David Hultz of Crawfordsville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Phyllis Brown of Ladoga and two grandsons and three stepgrandchildren. Mr. Davidson lived most of his life in Decatur, Ill; moving here 15 years ago as a mechanic for Meadowgold Dairy. Later he was employed at Rhoads Auto Sales and for the last six years operated a garagr at his home. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bennett Fulp officiating and burial in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz
