LADOGA – Mrs. Edith Genevieve Daniel, 74, former music teacher at Wingate and New Richmond, died Tuesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. A 1921 graduate of DePauw University she was the choir director for 16 years at Thorntown Presbyterian Church. She was member of the Ladoga Presbyterian Church where she was an elder. She was also a member of the Thorntown OES. Born Sept. 21, 1897, at New Richmond, she was a daughter of Thomas Beverley and Martha Ellen Kirkpatrick Miller. She was married Nov. 2, 1929, to Charles William Daniel at New Richmond. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Dudley of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin Larsh of Lake Wales, Fla., and Mrs. Charles Maynard Williams of Ladoga; three sisters, Mrs. Herman Nesbitt and Mrs. Reuben Swank of New Richmond and Mrs. Helen Manley of Bozman, Mont., and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Perkins Funeral Home at Ladoga. Burial will be in the New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.--waw
