DEATH CLAIMS JAMES CUSTER - Funeral of Former Resident Wednesday Morning at Michigantown Church.
James O. Custer, 66, a former resident of Frankfort and a brother of George W. Custer, of this city died yesterday afternoon at the Methodist hospital, Indianapolis following a stroke of apoplexy, suffered last Saturday morning.
Deceased was born in Shanondale, Montgomery county, December 8, 1866, the son of William and Mary (Stuart) Custer. He was married in 1883 to Hattie Edwards.
Deceased was a farmer for many years but for some time had made his home in Indianapolis, where he resided at the Brightwood Y. M. C. A.
He resided in Frankfort for a number of years prior to locating in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Frankfort Tribe of Red Men. In addition to the brother here he is survived one son, Fred R. Custer, of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be held in the M. E. church, at Michigantown tomorrow at ten o'clock. Burial will be in Whiteman cemetery. - kbz
